Antique Tractor Pull Rules

1. Tractors manufactured up to and including 1959 may pull. STOCK TRACTORS ONLY.
2. Age will be determined by serial number. Any questionable age will be decided by judges.
3. Tractors may one time per weight class but in as many weight classes as desired.
4. Tractors must be naturally aspirated. No turbos or blowers - EXCEPT OLIVER 99 GM
and JOHN DEERE 435 GM.
5. Gas, diesel or LPG fuels only. No alcohol - no nitrous oxide - no race fuels - no octane
boosters.
6. Engine RPM shall not exceed 10% of the manufacturer's fast idle recommended limit.
NOTE: ALL TRACTORS MAY BE CHECKED. All tractors to have positive throttle
stops.
7. Rear tires no more than one size over factory replacement. No 'cut' tires, radial tires,
duals or chains.
8. Only factory tractor weights allowed. Any make of tractor may use any make or model
FACTORY tractor weight. Rear wheel weights may only be mounted on rear wheels.
Front wheel weights may only be mounted to front wheels. Front weights may only be
mounded to front of tractor. Side frame weights may only be mounted to side frames.
No weight brackets. No suitcase weights. All weights must be mounted in a safe
manner.
9. Tractor drawbar point of hook (clevis) must be no more than 20" from the ground. Minimum distance from center line of axle to point of hook (clevis) is 20". Drawbar must be stationary in all directions. Factory drawbar may have "Riser" attached, if deemed safe at technical inspection. Driver to supply clevis or ring with minimum 2 1/2" opening for sled chain and no more thn 1 1/4" thick at rear hook point.
10. Pulls will be conducted using a maximum speed of 3 1/2 mph. When the horn sounds the third time the puller is disqualified. No shifting of gears.
11. Immediately after pulling, all tractors may be required to go through technical
inspection again.
12. The tractor must remain within the defined "in bounds" track area during the pull.
13. Any part falling off the tractor after being hooked and until the tractor is unhooked will
result in disqualification.
14. No "full throttle" starts or jerking sled. First offense
- restart. Second offense -
disqualification.
15. If on the first pull, the sled fails to pass the 50 foot mark, due to wrong gear, no fuel,
etc.; you may re-pull in last place.
16. Driver must exhibit the ability to control the tractor at all times. This is to include
during technical inspection, before pull, backing up to sled and after pulling.
17. Drivers must stay on the seat of the tractor at all times. Hands must be on the
steering wheel, hand brakes, hand clutch or throttle at all times during the pull.
18. No alcohol or intoxication allowed.
19. Track and safety officials have the authority to enforce all rules as stated herein and
to disqualify any tractor for violations or unsafe conditions. All decisions are final.
20. All rules will be interpreted by the Rules Committee. Any unforeseen problems or
oversights will be ruled on by the Rules Committee with their rulings being final.
21. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place tractors and drivers will remain in a defined area until eliminated or the class is over.
